About Mark Haney
In the News
Locally born and raised, Mark Haney created Thinkbiggersanjose.com shortly after graduating from SJSU. In addition to the blog, Mark contributes to Content Magazine, writing pieces on San Jose history and “What If?” thought pieces looking at transforming the city into a modern, and diverse place of innovation and intrigue. For the last two years, Mark worked with Danny Harris, Program Director for the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation in San Jose, recently leaving the philanthropic world to work in the public sector.
In his personal life, Mark and his wife, Genny are recently proud parents of their son, Elliott. Genny, Elliott, and Mark enjoy taking walks with their three dogs: Slapshot, Charlotte, and Lily throughout downtown, especially to Philz. For fun, Mark likes to experience new foods and beers. Lastly, Mark is a die-hard hockey fan, and his favorite team is the Sharks. When he is not with family and friends, Mark likes to blog and Tweet about his downtown experiences.
