Jane’s Walk 2018 represents the 4th year that San Jose has participated in the celebration of the matriarch of modern urbanism, Jane Jacobs. At the international festival’s core, is the idea to bring people together into the public realm and walk the city on a lightly themed walk tour. For the second time in 4 years, ThinkBiggerSanJose’s tour will focus on murals in downtown San Jose.
The goal of these mural walks is for people of all ages and abilities, children to children at heart, to able to enjoy the beautifully painted walls in downtown San Jose. There will be two different walks that will look at different sets of murals. The Saturday walk will be 3.3 miles cover 6 murals in the San Pedro Square and Diridon Station areas ending at Plaza de Cesar Chavez. The Sunday walk will be 1.9 miles and cover 8+ murals in Japantown. Both will start at 11am and last for about 60-90 minutes.
